Outreach Youth Work is meant for 15-29 year old living in Vaasa.
Outreach Youth Work offers youths a safe and reliable adult contact. Service is voluntary and based on youths’ hopes and goals. A young person gets unique support and guidance. The goal is to help oneself to go forward in one’s life. Youths are provided with information and courage to handle their concerns and finding the right services.
An outreach youth worker can, for instance, help in following matters, if the youths:
- need support in planning their future
- need information about different study opportunities
- are looking for a job or a try-out place
- need help with matters related to living and livelihood
- do not know what they would like to do with their lives and want to ponder different options and possibilities
- ponder things related to mental health and substances
- is quitting or resigning from school
- has quit army or civil service on
The starting point of the work are the goals set by the youth. The service is free of charge and confidential. You do not need a covering note when coming to us. Anyone can express their concern to us about a person after having a conversation with him/her.
